Life is like a dream lately.
I am 25 and I am coming into my own, being a human and being myself is all I want. Yet here we are, here a the most dangerous point in the history of the World*.
America has been a mess of a country for a while, Even Trump agrees. As a symbol, it’s come to embody selfishness, excess, aggression, and an overall refusal of peace in the name of power. Financial, material, social, or whatever.
Yesterday, we refused the climate that sustains us. We collectively shot ourselves, and the rest of the people in the World*, in vital organs, intentionally and foolishly.
The bad part of the system of governance in this country that allows financial power to consume and corrupt public institutions and services, is held up on all side. Truthfully, the Republicans outshine the Democrats when it comes to tricking poor and suffering people to vote against their interests. -So, we could be in trouble.
Overwhelmingly, the unequal distribution of financial power, fueled by a defunct capitalist system, has resulted in widespread insecurity of human beings in the world. I might as well sign my name on the violence of American Empire and class war, -I could sign yours too.
We are blessed to be in this relatively open society, but I seen the bars coming down around us a while back. I was tarred from birth, you see… I couldn’t have gone my whole life pretending that poverty and systematic oppression of minorities wasn’t heinous in sheer magnitude, practically everywhere in America.
In high school, I wondered how a country went from the height of culture and creation to killing millions of people with camps and madness. But that’s more clear to me now that I’ve seen people fall into abusive relationships. I contend that the nation is being traumatized right now, and that’s probably what will do us in if there is not a huge restructuring of power. A revolution.
I vote for peaceful revolution, one in which a greater percentage of the US population employs the devices of citizenship to wrest this country back from a bunch of greedy jerks.
I don’t want to live in a place that goes crazy.
The World* – The World is not the planet. The World is the arbitrary philosophical space that living human beings create and occupy.
